Pre-registering for this course notifies work2future that you intend to take this course if it is offered. Courses will be offered provided a sufficient number of currently enrolled customers have pre-registered their interest. Final registration for courses will be conducted through a work2future training specialist.

Course Description:   This course is designed to prepare its students to handle the job of a UNIX System administrator.  The course also prepares its students for the certification exams Sun Certified System Administrator (SCSA).  It consists of 5 modules including 1) Introduction to UNIX, 2) UNIX System Administration I, 3) UNIX System Administration II, 4) Advanced UNIX Utilities and Shell Programming, 5) Network Administration.

This course covers 120 hours of instruction and about 240 hours of lab covered in 12 weeks.  Students get exposure to various flavors of UNIX and get prepared for the SCSA, SCNA, AIX certification and HP-UX certifications.  Famsoft students have access to Simulation exams for SCSA certification.  We give 24/7 remote access to the labs for a period of one year.  At the end of each module, Famsoft tests the readiness of the students and at the end of the course, the students get a course completion certificate from Famsoft.

Mondays:  10am to 1pm
Wednesdays: 10am to 1pm
Saturdays: 10am to 2pm
